Listening…

Simulation — in the real app you just talk, and they hear it out loud in their language, about a second later.

How it works

A conversation, not a phrasebook.

01

Pick two languages

Yours and theirs — one tap each. Thaw detects who's speaking automatically, so nobody juggles settings mid-chat.

02

Speak naturally

Hold the button and talk, or go hands-free. Say it the way you'd say it to a friend — slang and all.

03

They hear it — out loud

In their language, about a second later. They reply, you hear yours. Back and forth, in real time.

For travelling anywhere

Order, ask, haggle — in a language you don't speak.

Find the station, order the thing that looked amazing, ask a local what they'd recommend. You talk, they hear their language, they answer — and you hear yours.

For meeting the family

Her parents speak no English. Sit down and actually talk.

Not smiling politely through dinner — a real back-and-forth conversation, live, the whole table included. The moment that usually needs a translator.

Every turn, on screen too

Hear it — and see it.

Every exchange is written out in a running conversation, in both languages. Missed a word over café noise, or want to double-check what was said? It's right there to read — nothing disappears into the machine.

Puno vam hvala, bili ste jako ljubazni.

Fair questions

The honest answers.

Is it really real-time?

Yes — you speak and they hear it in their language about a second later. Thaw is built for live, face-to-face conversations, not messaging.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in your browser — open the link, pick two languages, start talking. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like a normal app.

Which languages?

40+ today — including Croatian, English, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Arabic and Russian. Mix any two.

Does it work in a noisy place?

Best in normal conditions. In loud bars or clubs, switch to Push-to-talk — hold the button only while you speak — so it ignores the music and background chatter.
